About Embassy

On 03 July 2008, the establishment of the Diplomatic Mission at the level of Embassy to the Republic of Turkey was decreed (Seat in Ankara).

On 02 September 2008, Bekim Sejdiu was appointed as Head of Diplomatic Mission – Chargé d’Affairs in the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of Turkey.

On 01 December 2008, the Embassy became operational, while on 16 December, the official opening of the Embassy of the republic of Kosovo in Ankara took place.

On 19 August 2009, by a Decree of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Bekim Sejdiu was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Turkey.

On 09 September 2009, Ambassador Sejdiu handed over the letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gyl.

On 10 August 2012, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Avni Spahiu was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of Turkey.

On 14 November 2012, Ambassador Spahiu handed over the letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gyl.

On 21 August 2019, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ilir Dugolli was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of Turkey.
