Ambassador Malazogu is accredited as a non-resident ambassador to the Republic of PalauKoror, 22 August 2017 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Japan Mr Leon Malazogu presented the Credential Letters to the President of the Republic of Palau H E Mr Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr., through which he was accredited as the first non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the Republic of Palau.
The ceremony was attended by the deputies of both chambers, traditional leaders, and other senior officials. In addition to the greetings forwarded by the President of Kosovo, ambassador Malazogu and the President Remengesau discussed the deepening of inter-state relations in various fields and expressed mutual support in international organizations. Malazogu thanked the officials of Palau for the so far support, with President Remengesau agreed that the friendship between the two countries is further deepened.
President Remengesau has led the Republic of Palau successfully and today is the most developed country in the Pacific Ocean and has undertaken several regional initiatives, and has mobilized Pacific countries for environmental protection, of crucial importance for the countries which existence is threatened because of the growth of oceans level. On this occasion, Ambassador Malazogu also met the State Minister in charge of foreign affairs, H. E. Ms. Faustina Rehuher Marugg, and discussed bilateral cooperation and membership to the international organizations.
