The Official visit of the President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli to BelgiumOn 19-22 November 2018, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli officially visited Belgium. During this visit, Veseli met with Belgian parliament leaders, EU representatives in Brussels and diaspora representatives. On November 20, the Speaker of the Parliament Veseli met with Ms. Christine Defraigne, Belgian Senate Speaker, a group of MEPs: Eduard Kukan, Tonino Picula, Mr Andrej Kovatchev, Mrs. Dubravska Suica and Mr. Igor Soltes, and in the evening he traveled to Brugge where he met with the Albanian community representatives.
On November 21, Veseli met with members of the Kosovo-Belgium Friendship Group at the Belgian Parliament: David Geerts, Paul Van Den Driessche, and Mrs. Guler Turan, as well as Mr. Dirk Van der Maelen, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives and Mr. Siegfried Bracke, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belgian Parliament.
The visit of the Speaker Veseli was concluded with a ceremony organized at the Ministry of Defense of Belgium, in which case Mr. Veseli placed a crown at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Brussels.
